Promises, promises.. and no updates on my blog... sigh!

I know I have not been blogging for a while, but as a nomad always on the road, it is hard to keep track (beyond trying to remember your blogspot password).

But here is a thought I found inspiring lately:

Take a look at this and I am trying to follow suit....

The challenges of modern communication... You should be connected everywhere, it would be good if things also updated themselves, so blogs do not look too much out of date.... ;-)
Hey people can be busy, right?

Anyhow, so much time has past and I can tell you it has been a roller coaster ride.
But rest assured still travelling as much if not more than the last blog entry.

Still have not found a better salami than at Stockhom airport, but have for that purposes seen more airports, than I wanted to see.

It is all for the good cause, I tell myself all the time.... So here is to the world travellers, the road warriors, the sales people that convert thair airline seat to a temporary offline office, the airline lounge excessive users - no, not by will but by need.

I am happy to give hints from time to time, so stay tuned (and yes I will try to keep the times in between shorter...)

What can I say?

Sales persons are always on the road, or am I mistaken?
However some schedules are just "a little" stretched... Mine certainly is at the moment.
You just have to live with the thought: There is a light at the end of the tunnel...
So I cannot wait for the second half of this year when presumably my travel schedule will be less hectic...

Anyway, for those sales people who are on the road as much as I am, let me tell you, in the SAS business lounge at Stockholm's Arlanda airport, I just had the best Swedish salami ever since sliced bread was invented... So you frequent travellers get out there and taste it.

Part of an assignment on Hospitality IT on 6th June 2008
Hotel online
Here is an interesting article on booking pace, confirming the trend of people being hesitant on booking their holidays even into classical holiday destinations and in high season as well.
Some hotels of the indicated article are experiencing slow downs and shortages in legth of stay mechanisms.
Another observation is that people are getting more price sensitive and cost-conscious.

Two obvious reasons are the higher fuel prices and the economical challenges in the USA.

Please place your comments if you have additional input.
Travel Clicks Market Dominance
Part of the Hospitality IT Assignment Class in Paris 6th June 2008
The article of the company Travelclick earning the 34th place in the annual Crain's Chicago Fast Fifty list and making the list consecutively, indicates strongly that Travelclick is certainly - also with their enormous growth figures - on the right track for a successful future.
Travelclick's Fast Fifty Award
Travelclick historically started with one product however with the recent Internet technology advances, they had to diversify in order to brickwall their customers, the hotels and hotel chains.

By checking their website one can immediately see, where the new focus areas of the company lies. It includes Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing.

Just to make sure I am meeting the clichees as well, and that is most likely all I will say to this.
So here we go:
The Germans
I know, I know, it is Warhol and yes I am a fan of Warhol....
One should see one of the exhibitions, even in beautiful Scotland...
